Tasting notes

Taster Rob Allanson

Nose: Spicy straight off the bat, a little linseed oil, powdered ginger and cinnamon. Rye pancakes with quality smoked bacon. Club Orange soda and then plenty of caramel and vanilla pods.
Palate: Seriously orange marmalade notes, orange peel and then the oak starts to push through. Lots of vanilla again and warming caramel wafers.
Finish: Oak and vanilla dominate but laced with candied orange peel.
Comment: Interesting stuff, not sure what the finish adds to what feels like an excellent Bourbon to start with.

Taster Lyndsey Gray

Nose: Star anise, gingerbread and cookie dough dominate. A burst of crispy bacon drizzled in maple syrup comes through, with fizzy cola bottles and burnt toast appearing.
Palate: Warm spices of gingerbread, cloves and tobacco. Dehydrated oranges, peanut butter, pecan pralines and peppermint chocolates to sweeten the spice.
Finish: Has the perfect peanut butter finish.
Comment: Sweet, spice and all things nice.
