Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Full-on barley; malt extract from a jar. A little salted edge akin to the fat on air-dried hams. Faint Big Red chewing gum. Cinnamon, red toffee apples and orange peel.
Palate: Caramel penny sweets and chocolate-coated fudge pieces, plenty of sweetness. Cinnamon spice starts to build, with orange zest and cloves in the background.
Finish: Quite long and full of that malted barley and orange zest.
Comment: Really shows the quality and promise of distilling coming out of India at the moment.

Taster   Becky Paskin
Nose: Earthy, funky and fruity, like a Port-washed hard cheese served with plump, juicy grapes, but still has that contrastingly fragrant edge with rose essence and cherry blossom.
Palate: Oily and sweet, with a lovely earthiness – Tawny Port, muscovado sugar, raisins and crumbly Dundee cake with a touch of baking spice.
Finish: Nutty and dry, all flaked toasted almonds and cocktail cherries.
Comment: Refreshingly different. I would definitely love to try this with some Comté cheese.
