Tasting notes
Taster   Laura Foster
Nose: Sour, spicy and earthy; a quality of Pinot Noir. Sour cherry and strawberry. Peach and apricot with lime, grated nutmeg, walnuts and pine. Fizzy cola bottles make my mouth water.
Palate: Darker, sweeter and spicier than the nose. Chocolate brownie with chocolate chips and dried cherries accompanies a mocha with hazelnut syrup. The malt sings through too.
Finish: Drying. Black pepper, usurped by zippy pine and an ashy tannic finish.
Comment: Pinot Noir and chocolate brownies? A winning combination for me.

Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Orange cream biscuits, barley water cordial and bitter orange. Something feinty, distant acetate (in a good way – like opening a bag of children’s soft sweets).
Palate: Sweetness up front first then the cherry note comes though. Huge hit of orange barley water, then oak tannins mid palate. Steamed milky coffee, but more Ovaltine to it.
Finish: Plenty of spices on the finish, very juicy then tannins pucker the cheeks in.
Comment: Decent stuff here, pretty complex and one to savour for sure.
