Tasting notes

Taster Rob Allanson

Nose: Like getting into the perfectly made bath, warming, relaxing and tranquil. Lovely sweetness and gentle nuttiness here. Chocolate coated toffee pennies and vanilla cream pastries.
Palate: Plenty of vanilla here with a Bourbon-esque spiced edge. Maraschino cherries, dried apricots and mango sit with a wrapping of oak vanilla and pencil shavings.
Finish: Long, ever so long and sweet with those spices adding some tingling.
Comment: Just magnificent. A real star of a whisky.

Taster Mark Newton

Nose: Exceptionally attractive notes of golden syrup sponge cake, with raspberry jam and muscovado sugar. Crème brûlée. Sultanas. Toffee Crisp chocolate. Caramel.
Palate: Velvety sweet notes, with heather honey, maple syrup, some slight hints of mint and fennel to balance out the toffee fudge and salted caramel chocolate. Excellent stuff.
Finish: Long and syrupy, with the herbal qualities to keep the balance.
Comment: Heck of a dessert whisky.
