Tasting notes
Taster   Gavin D. Smith
Nose: Sweet, medicinal, buttery and floral. Damp tweed and ginger. Sootier with time.
Palate: Soft, gently spiced, with summer fruits and digestive biscuits. Mildly medicinal as well.
Finish: Very long and warming, with hazelnuts and drifting peat smoke.
Comment: Another shining example of shrewd cask selection.

Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Bandages and mild TCP, but there is an underlying sweetness as well. Buttercups and hints of Parkin cake.
Palate: That Parkin cake note comes through, dark treacle and spices. A little melon and Parma ham. Peat edge too.
Finish: Long and satisfying.
Comment: Almost perfection, should be tasted outdoors.
