Tasting notes
Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: Very earthy and loamy with sweet barley, malt and sweet peat smoke. Lovely depth with the alcohol balancing the sweetness. With time hints of rosemary and heather.
Palate: Full and sweet with barley, burnt heather, light coffee, honey and creamy oak. Like the nose the alcohol balances the sweetness.
Finish: Long with lingering sweet malt, burnt heather and earthy peat.
Comment: A very pleasant Highland whisky which reminds me of Glen Garioch, which isn’t a bad thing!

Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: Aggressive spirit in the glass, gives out hints of toffee, which softens over time to reveal some oak, artichoke hearts, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Palate: Creamy with a hint of old bottled Johnnie Walker Red Label, this is a dram that is bold but doesn’t shout too loud. Not quite well balanced enough but a good job.
Finish: Lots of plum chutney and oak spice.
Comment: Lots of flavours and the balance is almost there.
