Tasting notes
Taster   Jim Murray
Nose: Orangey and very faintly peaty, yet light and slightly ethereal.
Palate: Tangy and sweetly malted. Rich, slightly oily body; biscuity, chewy. Gentle smokiness.
Finish: Very clean and soft with the malt managing to outweigh the oak. Impressive.
Comment: Extremely high quality expression from an ill-served distillery.

Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Very fresh, assertive. Leafy, lightly peaty. Fragrant smoke.
Palate: Big, slightly syrupy and very malty, with nuts, raisins, ginger, lemon peel and roses.
Finish: Spicy, flowery, peaty.
Comment: Far paler and less sherried than the main version from this distillery. I would like at least some sherry to round the gingery spiciness, but I like the way that rose character comes through in this one.
