Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Clean, dry, coastal aromas. Slightly muted with hints of smoke, oil and brine.
Palate: Big, robust and quite oily with rounded waxed leather flavours. Sea breezes lash your tastebuds.
Finish: Lightly smoky with a salty tingle.
Comment: Discreet on the nose but rages in like a north-eastern storm on the tastebuds.
8.5
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Very flowery. Camomile. Suggestion of sweet lime.
Palate: Lightly oily. Gorse or whin; that coconut flavour. Then fresh lime, then peppery seaweed.
Finish: Sandy, grainy, mustardy. Wasabi?
Comment: Lively, fruity, refreshing. Distinctive. Does the 19th hole at Brora serve sushi?
8.5
