Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Gentle and perfumed with good complexity. Raffia, planed wood, florist shop, fennel. Merest touch of smoke.
Palate: Spring-like freshness. Floral with good balance. Light vanilla notes, peaches. Elegant.
Finish: Becomes firm and oaky.
Comment: Holds itself back a little, but delicious.
8.5
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Gently sweet. Oily cereal character. A fresh day on Speyside, with a little smoke wafting past.
Palate: Chocolate cream in a cookie sandwich. Becoming less chocolatey, more biscuity and drier.
Finish: Fruity. Lemon pith. Slightly woody. Alcoholic. Warming. Long. Powerful.
Comment: The second good Convalmore I have tasted. It was not highly rated in its lifetime, but could win friends now.
