Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Fizzy sour sweets, pickled apricots, ginger and damson jam. There is oak here too, fresh cut wood, pencil shavings. Drying leaves and a hint of a distant fire.
Palate: Sweet all over, vanilla waffles, ice cream and apricot jam. Then the spices start to build.
Finish: Spicy with a little bitter oak.
Comment: Nice to see another decent addition to the blended malt category.

Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Fruity and oak are intertwined. Cider cellar. A mix of damp wood notes and sour apples. In the back a faint cinnamon aroma.
Palate: Round and mellow at start. Then a spicy explosion gives a fizzy feel on the tongue. Toffee and more liquorice. The alcohol is well-mastered.
Finish: Dry and nutty.
Comment: A characterful autumnal dram. To sip with an apple pudding.
