Tasting notes

Taster Rob Allanson

Nose: Big and thick, deep layers of caramel and vanilla sweetness. Hints of creamy oak and then waves of red berries and cherries.
Palate: That rich mouth coating oiliness. Plenty of honey sweetness and sourdough with chilli loaded honey, sweet and spicy. Then moves to more chocolate coated hazelnuts with a little salt tickle to it.
Finish: Dries swiftly and leaves the sweetness of orange and almond chocolate behind.
Comment: Not the biggest wheat offering out there, but what it does is excellent.

Taster Sam Coyne

Nose: Red berries galore. Freshly ground, fruity coffee and a recently baked caramel shortbread.
Palate: Honey-roasted carrots, burned brown toast and the zest of both lemons and lime.Adds a little tang and bitterness to the already savoury and sweet notes. Moves towards cherry bakewell tarts at the end.
Finish: Quite short – citrus is very present however. Biscuity lemon cheesecakes.
Comment: Balances its flavours nicely and does some interesting things, flitting between sweet and savoury.
