Tasting notes

Taster Dave Broom

Nose: Highly scented and spiced. Lots of saffron, mint, lavender. Benedictine/yellow Chartreuse style aromas along with orange Smarties (chocolate sweets).
Palate: Sweet and spicy but not overly cloying. Balanced.
Finish: Chocolate and nut.
Comment: Well made.

Taster Martine Nouet

Nose: Liquor-like. Sweet, even sugary. The high strength is deceiving. Caramel, ahint of citrus fruit.
Palate: Sweet but the alcohol shows behind the sugar. Nougat. Praline. Orange peel. Getting bitter and spicy. Warm sensation. Thus syrupy feel is weird.
Finish: The alcohol balances the sweetness.
Comment: Another whisky liquor ? Ah, a Canadian whisky ? With an addition of sugar obviously. I would have scored it higher if it had been a whisky liquor. Let's call a cat a cat!
