Tasting notes

Taster Dave Broom

Nose: Broad and clean with lemon zest, marshmallow. Lightly dusty with a little coconut and a big turmeric hit and allspice. Upfront and bold.In time a real hickory smoke aroma builds.
Palate: Immediate spiciness: ginger, cumin seed. Smoothes a little in the mid-palate, then the mouthwatering, fizzy rye begins to flow. Works well with water.
Finish: Crackling spices.
Comment: A very good bold rye. Tight, spicy, acidic. but balanced.

Taster Rob Allanson

Nose: Fresh with citrus notes. Pretty big with a little coconut and wood shavings, there is plenty of spice lurking here too with a touch of smoke.
Palate: The spices hit you first, like a spiced lemon tea. The rye comes after.
Finish: Warm and a little drying.
Comment: Not a bad place to start.A trendy rye for the bars, but can hold its own among the big hitters.
