Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Everything is masked in that ABV at first, but then sweetness, roast pineapple, raspberries, marshmallow and meringues. Foam banana sweets.
Palate: A deep earthiness comes through with roast beetroot (that mix of sweet and savoury), and grain-laden notes. Buttered and paprika-spiced corn.
Finish: Long and sweet with all those earthy notes and spices piling in at the end.
Comment: One I would certainly earmark for dessert with its multiple layers of sweetness.
Taster   Becky Paskin
Nose: Sour green apples again, more like sour chews this time with foam bananas, honeycomb and a hint of damp newspaper.
Palate: Intensely fruity and sherbety with raisins and dried apples, though it’s particularly drying. An earthy, damp dunnagey note pervades the edges.
Finish: Toffee chews, baking spices and over-baked cake with a dry, twiggy note.
Comment: The fruitiness is moreish, but it’s a shame the cask has assumed unwavering control.
