Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Fresh wood (sandalwood) sweet malt, cherry, spices and peanut shells with a lovely vanilla pod/custardy note.
Palate: Sweet fruits (melon, apricot). That sweet vanilla custard takes charge, but there's a nutty undertow balancing things. Oak is fairly firm.
Finish: Dry and nutty.
Comment: A well built and delicious dram.
8.3
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Warm. Sweet.
Palate: Lean and spicy. Very lively flavours. Immediate anise. Herbal, Tobacco-like.
Finish: Firm, gripping. Took me by the scruff of the neck and sent me to work.
Comment: More typical of the unusual hot, dry, cleansing character of this distinctive whisky.
