Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Nutty and more nutty to boot. Hazelnuts in chocolate, candy coated almonds and a lovely date and Brazil nut mix. Sweetness akin to a walnut whip.
Palate: Opens with chocolate, a dark chocolate walnut whip for those of us who prefer things that way. Slowly a drying tobacco leaf note emerges, humidors and cigars. Then a herbal quality comes through.
Finish: Long and quite gentle with that nuttiness returning.
Comment: Seriously on the nutty side, but balanced out with those lush chocolate notes.

Taster   Sam Coyne
Nose: Tobacco and Danish pastries on the nose. Hints of marzipan before a roasted almond note comes through.
Palate: More of that tobacco, quite clearly pronounced compared to the nose. Pleasantly warming. Moves into being herbal, a little coriander, before closing out with a bitter dark chocolate note. Morish.
Finish: Bitterness continues, but it isn’t off-putting. Middle-to-long length and more savoury than sweet.
Comment: Predominantly nutty, but moves between sweet and savoury. End of the day, it’s tasty.
