Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Ripe, fat and corn like. Turns quickly into an ice-cream parlour: choc-ices, pistachio, even some rum & raisin. Generous, rich and sweet. With water, some cherry pie filling.
Palate: That fat, ripe, orange-accented quality of an old grain. Even sweeter with water. Fat and unctuous with vanilla and butterscotch galore.
Finish: Thick and creamy.
Comment: Highly recommended.

Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Deep oak. Damp warehouse. Opens on fruity notes. Dried apricot, prunes. Damson plums. A touch of orange marmalade. And sweet vanilla balancing the dark wood aromas.
Palate: Crisp. Sour with a bitter oakiness.
Finish: Sweeter with a dried fruit character. Rather dour. Develops on spices which gives it a more lively character.
Comment: Is this whisky overaged ? There is a grumpiness on the palate which dims the complexity of the nose.
