Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Tangy, biting. Grassy and biscuity. Digestive biscuits. Lots of cereals. A touch of butter. Cranberry juice.
Palate: Soft, silky with the Thaï silk feel. Summer fruit. Victoria plum, greengage and white peach. A fresh note of liquorice.
Finish: Dry, medium. Nutty.
Comment: A delicate and fragrant whisky which needs time to open. It has obviously matured in a refill cask. So don’t expect a real complexity.

Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Fresh and quite hot (ie not much cask influence) moving swiftly into white tea and lemon verbena. Firm with some edge and needs the water to allow scents of elderflower to develop.
Palate: Total contrast to the undiluted nose: amenable and sweet with icing sugar and creme caramel. Becomes almost fat towards the back with masses of lime.
Finish: Cereal dryness.
Comment: Subtle and a good change from the OTT grains. Just a little edgy.
