Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Delicate. Grassy. Lemon balm, angelica. Star anis. Lemonade. Lemon posset. White chocolate. On time coconut and gorse. Layers of aromas taking their time to breakthrough.
Palate: Smooth, silky. Quite firm and rich. The same grassy and fruity profile as on the nose. Fresh and clean.
Finish: Long, spicy and dry.
Comment: A beautiful example of a successful bourbon cask maturation. Fresh and satisfying. A Macallan ? I would never have guessed…
8.2
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Light and slightly hot. Wet plaster then sultana and a bready (matured maltiness) note. With water, some lemon meringue pie as well as apple and cinnamon.
Palate: An oily feel , then the uplift of huge orange notes whch then shift into milk chocolate. Mouthfilling. Then relaxes into pear.
Finish: Long and still shows ripe fruit.
Comment: A clean, light and fresh example.
