Tasting notes
Taster   Becky Paskin
Nose: Big at first nosing with boozy rum and raisin ice cream and Maltesers. It soon settles into sweet orchard fruit, macadamia nuts and fragrant blossom with a syrupy undertone.
Palate: Tarte tatin swimming in thick caramel sauce, sweet flaky pastry and shaved nuts. Things get a little spicy with anise, liquorice and oak.
Finish: Menthol sweetness with a spicy kick to it.
Comment: A big whisky from Seven Seals.
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Takes you straight into a nut roastery, spicy peanuts, chocolate coated hazelnuts and honey roasted cashew nuts. There’s vanilla cream and milk chocolate too.
Palate: We stay with that sweetness, now more roast fruits, toffee apples, baked custard and vanilla slices. Hints of cherry cough sweets.
Finish: Doesn’t hang about but leaves a great chilli powder and white pepper kick.
Comment: Great stuff and well worth getting your hands on.
