Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Dry smoky perfumed medicinal (Savlon) aromas. Herring nets drying on the beach with someone caulking a boat in the distance. Appetising.
Palate: Smoke wreathing around a soft centre. Dry and savoury smokehouse flavours with some dried lavender.
Finish: Dry, yet malty. Banana.
Comment: A beauty from Islay's forgotten giant. UDV are you listening?
8.5
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Briny sea air. Juniper skins.
Palate: Olivey. Oily. Light. Junipery. Aromatic. Medicinal. Spicy, peppery.
Finish: Clean, dry. Tree-bark. Complex. Long.
Comment: A fine example of Caol Ila - in one of its peatier moods.
8.3
