Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Powerful. Meaty: roasting tin, Bovril, roasted chestnut, black butter, treacle toffee, struck match. With water: charred, rich and smoky-campfire/burnt rope.
Palate: Thick and powerful. Meaty again: water makes it sweeter, bringing out dried fruits over the smoky dry notes of char and roasted coffee.
Finish: Campfire ashes.
Comment: As robust a Mortlach as you could wish for.

Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Freshly baked bread, straight out of the oven. That Mortlach aroma gets me every time.
Palate: Very nutty. Barley sugar. Spicy complexity.
Finish: A hint of passion fruit. Big, expressive and long.
Comment: The most complex and structured of the Mortlachs in this tasting.
