Tasting notes
Taster   Lyndsey Gray
Nose: Rubber tyres stuffed with marshmallows, TCP and citrus fruit creates a soft yet super peaty number. Reinforced with hints of white chocolate, struck matches, violin rosin.
Palate: Stand down tastebuds… a peat explosion is in our midst! Medicinal notes power through with wisps of sea spray, coal smoke and lime zest in the background.
Finish: A full on peat bomb with sharp pangs of sea salt in the midst.
Comment: Well we are taking no prisoners here! This means there’s little wiggle room past the peat though.
7.9
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Tarred roads, fish smokehouses, hay bales and cut barley. Hot pavements before the rain, petrichor. Seaweed crackers, pickled onions in balsamic vinegar.
Palate: Spicy and prickly, slowly reveals its fruit; melon and Parma ham, pineapple chilli. Smoked chilli and peanut paste. Burnt rubber with smoked goat’s cheese.
Finish: Heavy on that chilli vibe, alcohol takes over with a smoke tinge. Creamy, smoky goat’s cheese lingers too.
Comment: Creosoting a fence on a hot day, eating pickled onions and burnt bacon.
