Tasting notes
Taster   Lyndsey Gray
Nose: White chocolate caramacs melting over a freshly lit charcoal barbeque. Lighter fluid, cranberry sauce and peppermint, then cardamom seeds and toasted bay leaves.
Palate: Cement, petroleum and every aromatic spice and herb in the cupboard you can find. Frazzles and prawn cocktail crisps are thrown into the mix.
Finish: A refreshing amount of mint and spice linger amongst an oily peat smoke
Comment: Smoking a cigarette just after you’ve brushed your teeth. Smoky mintness.
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Melons and smoked dried ham then lemon zest, cinnamon cream. Smoke, wood-fired burners, malt drying. Smoked goat’s cheese with salt crackers. Caramel and chocolate pennies emerge. Then haddock in milk with bay leaves.
Palate: Hazelnut and raisin chocolate mixed with melon and ham. Smoked butter and pine forest notes. Peat and spice. Chilli oil numbs a little then dissipates.
Finish: Sweet and drying with that pine forest. Chilli oil grips.
Comment: Like walking through a pine forest with a bunch of flowers.
