Tasting notes
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Like a summer garden party up first, poached pears, nectarine and elderflower cordial. Hazelnut milk over ice, digestive biscuits and a gentle hint of old library.
Palate: The sweetness coming from a pear tart is there, followed by cinnamon spice heat and fragrant notes of lavender honey, library books and an old leather book bag.
Finish: The heat really ramps up in the medium finish, leaving you with lingering sweetness.
Comment: I enjoy the development from the nose to the palate and the complexity it shows.

Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Old oak furniture and leather. Wonderfully fruity and just a touch malty. Driven by ripe mango, pineapple and Lilt (tropical soda). Horlicks malt drink and hot milk lurks under all that fruit. Just a whiff of peppery smokiness.
Palate: Robust and full bodied. Sour fruit candies are balanced by sweet pineapple syrup. Tannins bring structure. Dried mango too. If there’s grain whisky in here, it’s hiding.
Finish: Medium length and totally tropical.
Comment: Very malt driven. I can see people not believing this is a blended Scotch.
