Tasting notes

Taster Becky Paskin

Nose: Crunchy dried malt dipped in chocolate. Toasted nuts and honeycomb, but there’s a continual funkiness like stale parmesan rind and old Easter eggs.
Palate: Chocolate-coated honeycomb pieces, chopped hazelnuts and dried raisins, and still that underlying funky character which makes things earthy and adds a level of creaminess.
Finish: Cheap chocolate and Cambozola.
Comment: At just eight years old this is a funky chocolate treat.

Nose: Malt extract, some sweetness too with honeycomb pieces, milk chocolate pennies and cinnamon dusting. Caramel roasted hazelnuts. Baked camembert in the wooden box. In time a little treacle bacon rind
Palate: Those toasted and sweet roasted nuts come through first but there is a soft, vanilla-laden cream note too, nougat with cherries.
Finish: Soft and sweet with just a touch of burnt caramel.
Comment: Plenty going on here. Sweden, you keep us on our toes with things like this.
