Tasting notes

Taster Joel Harrison

Nose: Fruit compote, upside down pudding, hot tar.
Palate: Full of flavour, sweet builders' tea, plums, figs and dates. Leather jackets and motorbike oil. With water, vanilla and whipped, sweetened cream.
Finish: Walnuts, dates and some blood orange.
Comment: A velvet tracksuit. Not a three piece suit. Smooth and silky.

Taster Annabel Meikle

Nose: Malted toasted biscuit, then fresher lemon and lime, mint. Malted loaf and hints of plum. With water, it falls apart with sulphur and composting vegetal notes that overpower any fruitiness.
Palate: Very astringent, bitter hops, stale beer with a powerful metallic taste. Spent coffee grains, and then solvents emerge with water.
Finish: The bitterness and astringency lingers.
Comment: Feels young and immature with little influence from the wood.
