Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Intensely fragrant. A bouquet of malty aromas intertwined with mature oak. With a delicate floral note. Fading rose. Opens on smoke and an oyster note.
Palate: Crisp and harsh. The feel of raw silk. Getting sweeter after a spicy burst.Fresh sensation. Still this floral note. Turkish delight. Fizzy. Gently burning. Some smoke and a mineral note.
Finish: Warm, dry, spicy.
Comment: An intense, enticing and rather condensed whisky.

Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Delicate smoked fish, like oak smoked trout. Wood polish and leather gloves. Warm Rye bread and proved dough. Some lilies just past their prime.
Palate: Sweet and clean. Lemon zest zing, cumin spice and a little Ras el hanout.Sweetness over time. Then a briny note, oily fish and smoke.
Finish: That smoked fish note then warm spices at the end.
Comment: A great restorative dram post dinner.
