Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Smoky, malty and slightly creamy.Just lit kindling, pine. papery, hint of juniper. With water there’s rockpools, hot clay and a musky note. Good.
Palate: Positive burst of smoke to start, quite firm and dry with sooty smoke building. Sweet with light lemon/grapefruit, smoked nuts.
Finish: Dries significantly becoming just a little bitter.
Comment: Good presence.

Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Faint. Slow to release aromas. Wet cardboard. Smoke unwinds reluctantly. Basil and tomato. A pinch of curry too. Opens and reveals more on time. Gorse.
Palate: Sweet and malty, then the smoke invades the palate and leaves sooty notes on the tongue with a dusty feel.
Finish: Dry, sooty.
Comment: Slow to get started but the smoke invasion on the palate certainly leaves its print.I would enjoy it when (if) I feel a rainy day woman.
