Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Marine, phenolic, peppery. Tarred boat, shellfish, peat embers and some smoke. A hint of bogmyrtle. And above all these sea aromas, a hovering malty sweetness. On time, peaches in vanilla.
Palate: Smooth and sweet with a sherbet feel at mid palate. Seaweeds, smoke, pickled lemons (lemons in salt).
Finish: Dry, peppery with a lovely delicate blancmange aftertaste.
Comment: A beautifully balanced islander. The marine aromatic display is just enticing, constantly teasing the malty sweet heart.

Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Seashore, mineral, salt washed stones. Damps seaweed and driftwood. Classic marine notes of smoked fish, peated barley mixed with sweet vanilla custard.
Palate: The seaside ramble continues with smoked fish and seaweed, rollmop herrings. That sweet barley malt note is still here too.
Finish: A cracked black pepper bite then lush creaminess.
Comment: A lovely seaside experience in a bottle, well balanced and knitted together.
