Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Initially, there's peppermint followed by a little clove. A vibrant attack that'stempered by butteriness and smoke.
Palate: Gorgeously balanced smoke and that essential element in peaty whiskies - sweetness. The oil of clove medicinal elements take you to the dentist rather than the hospital.
Finish: Lime and fresh fish - ceviche anyone?
Comment: Young but already with such balance. Recommended stuff.
8.5
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Phenolic. Creosote. Wet seaweeds. Tar. Wet dog. Some citrus fruit in the back. Getting smokier on time. Opening on spices and roots. Galanga, nutmeg.
Palate: Oily. Very sweet and smooth. So surprising for a high strength ! 'Pastilles du mineur'
Finish: Smooth, lemony.
Comment: A sweet islander. Can be enjoyed without water.
