Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Earthy, fresh dug peat, hints of TCP and iodine. Heavily smoked salmon. That fungal edge hides kiwi fruit skin.
Palate: Warm with heavy peat notes. A touch of vanilla, almost tablet, honey sweetand ginger.
Finish: Warming and long.
Comment: One for the hip flask for a seaside walk.
8.5
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Tense, slightly green and smoky. The impression is marine: grey sea salt, ozone, as well chalk/dusty pebbles, cow shed. With water, moist peat androoty, angelica-like notes.
Palate: Very oily palate. Both tongue-clinging and explosive: sweet chilli sauce, yellow fruits and a real sweetness in the centre as the marine notes fly around.
Finish: Long, smoky.
Comment: Vibrant and full of character. Best neat.
