Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Very fruity, estery, leafy, spicy. Tea-like. Apples, cloves.
Palate: Firm, clean sweet. Pastry. Marzipan.
Finish: Fragrant, perfumy, flowery, herbal. Heathery, gently peaty, smoky.
Comment: Another light-tasting malt that blossoms with age. Its flavours belie the use of a malt that is scarcely peated.
7.8
Taster   Jim Murray
Nose: Astonishingly light: the malty grassiness is closer to it being an 8 Years Old!! Oak is apparent but almost apologetic.
Palate: At its height the intensity is a must for chocoholics.
Finish: Dry and jaded with the cocoa keeping a lid on the oaky excesses.
Comment: The nose lies. A classic example of a Speysider beyond its prime. Ultimately it fails to give full satisfaction.
7.8
