Tasting notes
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Brown bread and pecan-twist pastries. Sticky toffee pudding and milk chocolate bar with rum-raisin ice cream. A subtle note of hay, with orange oils and muscovado.
Palate: Light bodied. Sweet and pastry-like. Pecan pie. There’s candied ginger, almond paste and a hint of cardamom. Some ephemeral fruitiness lurks beneath.
Finish: Medium-short. Sweetness fades out and tannins make an appearance.
Comment: Very tasty, but not quite enough complexity to take it further.
7.9
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Initially like an orange and almond loaf, then sweet shortbread with a dollop of cream. A mossy nod, with some wood chippings on a rainy day.
Palate: Delicate sweetness, resinous sandalwood and a coconut macaroon. Fresh vanilla pod, scraped out and mixed into cream. Allspice warmth.
Finish: Medium length and full of creamy coconut.
Comment: Nicely balanced and intriguing enough to keep you interested throughout.
