Tasting notes

Taster Joel Harrison

Nose: Cherry drops, a huge hit of sherry and vanilla. Allspice, runny honey, new oak and some really delicious rum tones. If the nose continues into the rest of the areas, this will be whisky of the issue.
Palate: A hint of rye, this is spicy with a hint of red fruits, jams, and great oak notes. I'd take this over ice in a dirty downtown bar.
Finish: Spice, cinnamon and oak notes. Delicious.
Comment: The perfect Old Fashioned whiskey? Na, just give me this one neat and a dime for the juke box in the corner.

Taster Annabel Meikle

Nose: Sticky toffee pudding with a glaze of dark marmalade, hints of treacle, tamarind and star anise. Turkish coffee and salmiak.
Palate: Perfumed, polished teak which has been lightly smoked. Eastern spices and pomegranate syrup.
Finish: Molten and smouldering.
Comment: Brooding. Omar Sharif in a thoughtful mood.
