Tasting notes
Taster   Mark Newton
Nose: Interesting! Praline milk chocolate, and malty, golden rum and muscovado sugar. Curiously herbal with green olives and touch of French mustard.
Palate: Lots of barley showing, with a Chardonnay undertone. Almond oil. Pears and apricots. Orchard fruits follow, a curiously savoury edge. Marmalade ham. Malted Milk biscuits.
Finish: Short and just a little too sour, which is a shame considering the mid-palate.
Comment: Unusual whisky, not afraid to show character – great flavour for the ABV.

Taster   Laura Foster
Nose: Chopped almonds and hazelnuts up front, apple crumble, freshly washed sheets, bringing floral aromas of both orange and lime blossom. Aromatic cedar wood and a strawberry bonbon character come with water.
Palate: A bowl of nuts, with green, sticky beer hops. Releasing the serpent tempers that green bitterness somewhat. Vanilla, lemon zest and a zippy pine wood present.
Finish: Like I’ve been licking some freshly cut pine boards.
Comment: Interesting. A touch green/bitter for my taste.
