Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: A little prickly at fist the ground black pepper, chilli jam and dry hams. Mango chutney with onion seeds and Kashmiri chilli.
Palate: Big and bold with quite a meaty edge, roast capsicum. Sweet chilli crackers.Peat unfurls gently with a touch of honey maple sweetness.
Finish: Dries with spices and that peppery note.
Comment: These Talisker releases just keep getting better, and it does well with age.
Taster   Sophie Donovan
Nose: Briny sea air, slightly floral with white peppery notes. Then barley sugar honey, dates and hay.
Palate: Sweet fruits, now there's damp hay, more seaside notes, minerals andbonfires. Water brings out more of the sweetness.
Finish: Fresh and slight minty with lots of caramel and oak.
Comment: Very pleasant and moreish, lighter than I thought it would be for its age.
