Tasting notes
Taster   Ian Wisniewski
Nose: Rounded, dark chocolate, cappuccino, gingerbread leading to creme caramel with a toasty waft.
Palate: Creamy, fruity, chocolate combination creates instant richness with a hint of underlying dryness, spiceand toastyness.
Finish: Ripe-dry balance continues in a luscious manner, culminating in toastyness.
Comment: An exciting, indulgent journey for the palate.

Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Caramel. Stewed fruit. Distant smoke. A faint note of seaweed. Then a shy oak note. All aromas seem dimmed.
Palate: Sweet. A bit soft. A hint of stewed plums. Where is the expected peppery note ? Just a wee tickle.
Finish: Quite sweet and dimmed like the rest.
Comment: Difficult to taste a Talisker blind ! The strength tells all (though Lagavulin played a trick in this tasting).Thelegendary pepperiness is a memory.
