Tasting notes
Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: Gorse bushes, coconut, milk chocolate, and some lovely rounded fruit notes. This is a well balanced nose. Develops into fresh pine, felt and cigarette box.
Palate: Really subtle, sweet and smooth palate with a big, oily mouthfeel. This is a whisky which doesn’t demand attention on the palate but gets it anyway. Excellent flavours, well married.
Finish: Medium in length, drying with some cigar tones.
Comment: A really well crafted whisky, at a strength that works and a flavour balance that is lovely.

Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: Wonderfully deep and showing maturity. Juicy orange mingles with barley, dusty peat and bracing coastal saltiness. Balanced sherry richness and late hint of medicinal peat and herbal chocolate.
Palate: Full and showing more tannic sherry balanced by the sharp citrus notes. Hints of barley, dusty peat, walnut and supple dried orange follow. Coastal notes on the middle.
Finish: Long and deftly juicy. Lingering crystallized orange, subtle peat and salt.
Comment: Beautifully balanced and vibrant.
