Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Floral and grassy. Meadowsweet flowers. Drying grass. Lemonade. Lemon drop. Light and delicate.
Palate: Satin-like. Nearly syrupy. Sweet fruit. Williams Pear. Vanilla. Lots of pear drops. Water dilutes the flavours too much.
Finish: Soothing on blancmange flavours. Dry and sweet at the same time.
Comment: A classic bourbon cask matured whisky. Springtime like, pleasant and refreshing. The pear flavour is so strong it almost tastes like a fruit spirit.

Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: Oily and herbal with rhubarb and green citrus. The spirit itself is quite dense with hints of apricot and banana but the rhubarb note is dominating. With time some oak arrives along with light camphor and nettle notes.
Palate: Fresher than the nose. Just! Lightly oiled with barley, citrus and again that rhubarb note. Hints of herbs and coffee appear on the middle.
Finish: I?ntense and spicy, but a little on the hot and short side, with, yes, you guessed it lingering oak and rhubarb!
Comment: Tell me why I don’t like rhubarb?
