Tasting notes

Taster Rob Allanson

Nose: Reminds me of opening a double bass case. Bow rosin, polished wood, a hint of strings and dusty velvet fabric. Sweet barley notes and vanilla. A zip of lemon citrus.
Palate: Something forest-like here. Peppermint and a tang of lemon citrus. Feels like there is a little smoke hiding in here, but I only found it on the palate.
Finish: Sweetness keeps on giving with creamy vanilla and nutmeg.
Comment: Sweetness and spice, what’s not to like?

Taster Lyndsey Gray

Nose: Peardrops, Jelly Babies and pine resin.The initial sweetness is slowly followed by baked salmon. Pink peppercorns and raisins linger.
Palate: There’s a sooty sweetness that jumps forward. Strawberry jelly, ginger beer, grapefruit and bread and butter pudding with a bitterness of used coffee grinds at the end.
Finish: While the sweetness tails off quickly, a chalky bitterness stubbornly lengthens the palate.
Comment: Like licking a lime jelly baby, covered in coffee granules.
