Tasting notes
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Wholegrain bread dough or digestive biscuits, and crystalised ginger stem. An almost autumnal nose of dried leaves, nutmeg, and fresh eucalyptus.
Palate: Light to medium body contrasting with initially gingery spice, malty rich sweetness, and mint choc chip ice-cream. Some refreshing cantaloupe melon.
Finish: The finish is biscuit, as well as having fresh menthol that lingers.
Comment: Elegant and complex with a wide range of fruit, subtle spices, cereal character, and freshness.
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Reminding me of my violin case with rosin rolling around in it, then Turkish delight, elderflower cordial, vanilla cream, and oaky cinnamon spice.
Palate: More of the light elderflower – now matched with chunky tropical fruit salad with more vanilla cream drizzled sparingly over the top. This leads into light heather honey.
Finish: Dreamy heather honey lingers, then a little nutmeg rounds it out with some warmth.
Comment: A rather nostalgic dram that I’ll certainly take for a spin again.
