Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Perfumy. Resinous, balsamic. Sun warmed pine needles. A distant note of juniper. Opening on freesia and blue bell aromas. A citrus touch. Strong balsamic character gives way to garden-like scents.
Palate: Light, silky. Fresh and crispy with a tangy feel. Fruity. Green apple, fresh lemon. Water takes off the sharpness.
Finish: Short, dry and clean with a nutty aftertaste, fresh crushed hazelnuts.
Comment: A refreshing and young whisky with an unusual balsamic character at first. It needs a dash of water to cut the edges. A summertime cooler.

Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: Stewed apple, some rhubarb, some very pleasing musky botanical notes and a hint of custard.
Palate: A little spritely at first, with the spirit biting hard, then comes more of the stewed fruit, some woody spiced apple and lemon zest.
Finish: Short and fresh.
Comment: A little lightweight, but not without its fruity merits.
