Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: A big bready hit at first, wholemeal loaf, there is something a little odd at first but this goes leaving profiteroles and tablet. Walnut and honey pipe tobacco as well.
Palate: Apple pie and cinnamon sweetness, that pipe tobacco note lurks, gentle cherry notes and blood orange.
Finish: Sweet and drying.
Comment: Another one for the hip flask and a day out on the hill.
7.8
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Malty with a slight butyric note which fades away though. Crème caramel. Toffee.
Palate: Smooth and sweet. Watery at midpalate, surprising given the strength. Fruity. Baked apples. Hint of tobacco and honey. Barley sugar.
Finish: Dry, spicy. Crystallised ginger.
Comment: An autumn dram. Pleasant but it is as if something was missing. Not completely put together.
