Tasting notes

Taster Rob Allanson

Nose: Like walking through the woods during coppicing, sawdust, wood sap, cut green wood. Toffee pennies, fruit and nut chocolate.
Palate: Follows the cues from the nose. Soft, round and very gentle. Runny honey,rum and raisin fudge.
Finish: Dry with a little oak grip.
Comment: Well integrated and would be great for a spring walk in the woods.

Taster Martine Nouet

Nose: Malty and oaky. Freshly sawed oak. Opens on toffee notes and chestnuthoney. More honey on time. A nutty touch. Cider apples.
Palate: Round and sweet. Very smooth texture at start then the dry spiciness gives it a harsh feel like raw silk. The same flavours as on the nose. With a spicy development.
Finish: Dry, spicy. Ground ginger.
Comment: A slightly austere character but well balanced as well.
