Tasting notes
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Fresh, with peaches and cream, crumbly shortbread biscuits, syrup drizzled over blueberry pancakes and some crystallised ginger.
Palate: Sweet vanilla cream, dark fruits, vanilla sponge and warm berry compote. Almond flakes, a hint of peach and sage. Lovely warming ginger spice, too.
Finish: Medium and like Jamaican ginger cake and dark chocolate shavings.
Comment: This is lovely, packed with beautifully interlinked flavour.

Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Fresh and ripe pear, red apple, and apricots, with delicate sawn oak and sweet flan base. Vanilla cream pastry buns, with sliced strawberries and blueberries coated in honey. A little wafer.
Palate: Medium bodied. The juicy orchard fruits and joined blue blueberry yoghurt and sweet vanilla cookies dusted with icing sugar. There’s delicate allspice and green apple core underneath.
Finish: Medium-long, centred on that delicately drying green apple skin.
Comment: A case study in Speyside whisky 101.
