Tasting notes
Taster   Sam Coyne
Nose: Oak and vanilla notes with festive spices: nutmeg, cinnamon and citrus peels. Warm, freshly baked biscuits right at the back.
Palate: Intensely peaty, but seems to just about hold itself back before it becomes overwhelming. There's a little dried red fruit at the end to round it off perfectly.
Finish: Really delivers, with drawn-out, warming smoke. Goes on for an age, but still you'll want more.
Comment: Fantastically balanced, with all the elements kicking in at just the right moment. A real treat.

Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Plenty of oak, very rich and earthy tones to it. Drinking in the dunnage warehouse, damp earth and oak, hints of peat wafting through too. Something Christmassy as well, Christmas cake and mince pie mix, sultanas and dried orange.
Palate: Plenty of peat, but not that palate killing style. This is lush and rich. Mint chocolate and sherry soaked fruit cake notes.
Finish: Smoky like a good Cuban cigar, rich vanilla and long lasting.
Comment: Just the foil for a good Cuban cigar. A perfect level of peat too.
