Tasting notes
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Like a freshly cooked green apple crumble, with raisins, cinnamon, ginger and oaty crumble mix and a thick dollop of vanilla cream.
Palate: More of that stewed green apple note, continuing to deliver on the warming flavourful spice notes, then gets more viscous with caramel drizzle appearing.
Finish: A beautiful combination of creaminess, cinnamon snap biscuits and peppery warmth.
Comment: A great mix between fruity notes and the comforting warmth of spice. Tempted to crack out a hot toddy.
8.2
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Peach and apricot fromage frais, foam banana sweets, Horlicks malt drink, coconut ice, and fresh pear. Vanilla Yankee candle.
Palate: Ripe apples and pears, peaches and cream, vanilla syrup, sponge cake, malted milk, and a little fresh blueberry. Some mandarin segments, too.
Finish: Medium-short, on ripe peaches and pears.
Comment: Totally clean, fresh and easy-going. A great example of a blended Scotch, though a little more concentration of flavour would’ve pushed it into the 8s for me.
