Tasting notes
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: The faintest hint of Turkish delight, rusks biscuits, and a thin layer of marzipan icing. Then its sweet vanilla cream and poached pears.
Palate: Gets more herbal here with sage, almost become amaretto. Then melted white chocolate, New York cheesecake and sponge fingers. More poached pear appears with crystallised ginger.
Finish: Hot stuff on the finish, leading into apricot yoghurt and more amaretto.
Comment: She’s a bit sassy with the heat, but through that it really shows a lot of character.

Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: A little shy, but there’s newly printed papers, pear drop, vanilla pod and a touch of modelling clay. Spirity, but pleasantly so.
Palate: Vanilla sponge cake, with butter icing and a smear of raspberry jam. A little icing sugar dusting. Sweetened egg yolks and corn cake. Some subtle pear drop. White chocolate, a touch of toffee and a little sweet nougat.
Finish: Fades out on a sweet, bready note.
Comment: Like eating a custard doughnut. Really rather tasty.
