Tasting notes
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: A cool, mellow nose. White chocolate, egg tart, and English custard spiced with vanilla pods and saffron threads. Under-ripe pear and lychee-scented candle wax.
Palate: Soft, with a genuinely smooth palate and medium to full body. Bourbon biscuits, gourmet dairy milk chocolate, and vanilla fudge, with a hint of pear skin-like tannins.
Finish: Short and pleasant, with American oak vanilla and the mildest of wood spices.
Comment: Gentle, but not lacking in a depth of moreish, cask-derived flavours.

Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: All kinds of sweet patisserie notes, a pear and almond tart with a dusting of icing sugar, then crumbled malted milk biscuits on a cheesecake base.
Palate: Very sweet, with a drizzle of honey over granola, fresh vanilla pods, porridge with caramel chocolate buttons and poached pear.
Finish: A very malty medium-length finish with more of that light, dusty pear.
Comment: This whisky gives me all the springtime vibes – it’s light and fresh and easy.
